Travelling should feel exciting—not stressful. This complete pre-travel checklist helps you prepare for your trip step by step so you can travel with confidence and avoid last-minute surprises.

1. Travel Insurance & Protection

Before you travel, ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage. Get it HERE

Make sure your policy covers:

  • Emergency medical expenses abroad

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Lost baggage and travel delays

Keep both a digital and printed copy of your policy accessible during your trip.

Travel insurance is essential for international travel, as medical costs outside your home country can be very expensive.

2. Passport Validity

Check your passport well in advance of travel.

  • Ensure your passport is valid for the entire duration of your trip

  • Many destinations require at least 6 months validity beyond your return date

  • Confirm you have enough blank pages for entry stamps

  • Keep a digital copy stored securely in case of loss

3. Visas, Entry Requirements & Travel Taxes

Every destination has different entry requirements.

Before departure:

  • Check visa requirements for all destinations on your itinerary

  • Confirm if any entry or departure taxes apply

  • Review vaccination requirements or health declarations if needed

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, always check with your ADVISOR and refer to the Government of Canada Travel Advice and Advisories before travelling. Check requirments HERE

4. Vaccinations & Health Requirements

Some destinations require or recommend specific vaccinations.

  • Check requirements early, as some vaccines require multiple doses

  • Carry proof of vaccination if required by your destination

  • Consult a travel clinic for personalized advice

To ensure a smooth travel day:

  • Complete online check-in within 24 hours of departure

  • Download or print your boarding passes

  • Double-check baggage allowances and seat selection

  • Save all travel documents offline on your phone

✈️ Airport Arrival Tip

Make sure everything is accessible even without internet access.

Download before you travel:
